Importing data into WebTess
Home » Importing data into WebTess

WebTess can import data from any plain text comma-separated (CSV) or tab-delimited (TXT) file. If you have a file in Excel or Google Sheets, you can export the file into either CSV or TXT form.

You can import student data, including addresses, phone numbers and emails, and register new students.

You can import courses, master schedules, student course requests and schedules.

And you can import mark data into classes.

Column headings

In order to import data, WebTess must match up the columns in the files with the data fields in WebTess. There are a set of standard column headings for student data, address, courses, schedules, master schedules and grades. Generally, the columns can be in any order, and you can exclude columns you don’t use. For each standard column heading there are a set of alternates which will also be recognized. Spaces are optional, column headings can be upper or lowercase.
